"Cada vez vamos estando más acoplados con la moto y con el equipo y eso se va notando en la pista. Valencia es un circuito muy particular, muy distinto a Jerez, y aquí nos ha costado un poco más, pero al final hemos hecho buenos tiempos y estoy muy contenta de cara a los entrenamientos oficiales IRTA que tenemos en Jerez en marzo".
-Hablas mucho de acostumbrarte a la moto que conduces y a las pistas en las que corres, ¿te está costando más o menos de lo que pensabas?
"La Moriwaki es muy distinta a la Suter del año pasado. Cada una tiene sus virtudes. Yo me hago rápido a las motos porque en mi vida he cambiado mucho de moto, ya que en cada carrera que me invitaban la moto era distinta. He corrido con una 125 de dos tiempos y con una 1.000 de cuatro tiempos, y nunca tuve mucho tiempo para adaptarme. Así que hacerme a la Moriwaki no será problema, aunque es una moto con mucha personalidad y me va a costar un poquito más, sobre todo porque aquí una décima es un mundo".
-Era la primera vez que corrías en Jerez con una moto2, ¿satisfecha con los tiempos que has hecho en estos días de entreno?
"Sí, sobre todo porque lo importante es la progresión. Cada día rodamos más rápido y eso es lo bueno. Aún tenemos que mejorar, pero sabemos dónde tenemos que hacerlo. A diferencia de otros equipos, nosotros hemos hecho la pretemporada con motores de serie y por eso los tiempos no podemos compararlos.... Además de que los tiempos eran sin trasponder y cada equipo comunicaba los suyos, con lo cual no son fiables".
-¿Qué sientes cuando estás en la pista y te ves rodeada de pilotos mucho más experimentados que tú?
"Lo que más me llama la atención es que van a cuchillo desde el primer minuto del primer entrenamiento privado. En Valencia y en Jerez hubo muchas caídas, desde el primer día. Me sorprende que todo el mundo quiere hacerlo todo muy deprisa, supongo que es la manera de vivir el Mundial y tendré que acostumbrarme".
-¿Cómo es tu relación con ellos?
"No he tenido ningún problema. La gente me trata con amabilidad y me han aceptado como uno más. Eso me gusta. No me agradaría que me trataran con una cortesía especial ni nada así. Yo soy un piloto más y además recién llegado, así que tampoco espero reverencias de nadie. En general, todo el mundo muy bien".
-Sueles decir que con el casco puesto todos sois iguales: hombres y mujeres, ¿qué ocurre cuando te quitas el casco?
"Nada muy distinto. En estos días no he notado nada raro, soy uno más del paddock. Te aseguro que no me ceden el paso, especialmente en la pista, ja, ja. Me pegan hachazos en la pista igual que a los otros. Soy uno más, y eso es lo que quiero que pase. No estoy aquí por ser chica, sino por ser rápida, y eso es lo que quiero demostrar".
-El viernes y el sábado estuviste con varios fans que ganaron una entrada para padock a través de un concurso de Nuez, ¿cómo fue la experiencia? ¿te dieron fuerza para seguir adelante?
"Sí... Soy bastante tímida, y estas cosas me cuestan un poco, aunque cada vez un poco menos porque todo se aprende. La gente que está conmigo me felicitó sorprendida porque estuve comunicativa, pero es que los que vinieron a verme eran muy majos. Me impactó especialmente Dany por su afición. Se dañó una pierna contra un guardarraíl en moto y no ha perdido nada de afición, al contrario. Venía con una muleta en la que había pegado un adhesivo de Akrapovic, ja, ja. Nos hicimos unas fotos y pasamos un buen rato, me gusta sentir el cariño de la gente de la calle, es muy agradable".
-Ya no hay entrenamientos Irta hasta dentro de un mes, ¿qué vas a hacer para superar el 'mono' de Moriwaki?
"Pues entrenar a fondo... El sábado me bajé de la moto después de tres días muy duros, el domingo descansé un poco y esta semana toca otra vez motocross, supermotard, piscina, gimnasio, correr y bici, mucha bici, porque nos hemos apuntado a un maratón ciclista por etapas la semana que viene... ¡A ver qué tal nos sale!".
